YouTube... (possibly triggering)

So recently the Youtube vlogging community has been a bit of a shambles really. It’s now a case of which YouTuber to trust really isn’t it?

First it was Alex Day and being accused of sexually abusing someone, this one I was a bit late to hearing about I over had someone at my college talking about it and then got home a searched it to know more about it. I unsubscribed to his channel and unfollowed on social media.

Then the next one that I knew about was Jason Veeoneeye. At first I didn’t know what to think about this one because I looked up to Jason watched his videos when I was having a down day he made me smile, so when I heard this one I was in utter shock and didn't want to believe it at first. But after reading on twitter and the master post* I came to terms with it and unsubscribed to him and unfollowed on social media.

Sam Pepper. Need I say anymore? His trio of videos that he made claiming that it was a ‘social experiment’ and the people had fully consented to it. What a load of bull. I’m sorry but what he did was wrong and after the first video came out I had unsubscribe straight away. Then when the accusations came out I unfollowed on social media. I then saw Dottie’s video** about Sam Pepper and what had happened to her and I was shocked. Not that he had done it but he had lied to her about her leading him on by lying.

Karim, again like Jason I liked his videos, the few that he had put up, and I was shocked to hear about this accusation. Again I didn’t want to believe but I did. Then Dodie had made a video*** that he had been sexual towards her and didn’t stop when she asked. That was it I had unsubscribed and unfollowed. Again I was in utter shock that something like that had happened to Dodie and that the person didn’t stop when asked on multiple occasions to stop.

Lukes Beans. When I was that DanIvlog had uploaded a video**** I watched it what out reading the title and was shocked when I heard what was happening. At this point I wasn’t shocked it was becoming a common occurrence to hear about a youtuber sexually assaulting someone. I just followed the same pattern as I had with the other ones.

Craig Dillon. With this one I didn’t believe to the beginning, I watched his video first before I heard the accusations. As I was watching his video I was scrolling through my subscription on youtube and saw drewisnotsharing***** and uploaded a video I watched this instead of finishing Craig’s video. I again took the same cause of action.

Sexual abuse of any sort is not okay. If a person at first says yes then a few moments later says no, you no longer have their consent so STOP. If you don’t even have their consent to begin with don’t even do anything!
The youtubers are using their authority that they have over their subscribers and using it wrongly. The people that have had accusations against them if it is true should not be supported by their subscribers anymore, you are in a sense forgiving them for sexually assaulting someone. That is not right.

I wasn’t going to make a blog post about this. But I have done I needed to get my opinion across. Everything mentioned above is linked below for you to go and have a look at.

Cheerleading

Hello Everyone,

So this past weekend, May 16th and 17th, I was away in Manchester competing with my cheerleading team in the spring cheerleading nationals. This is something hosted by the UKCA (United Kingdom cheerleading association) and it happened every year in May.

I have to say that the weekend is absolutely amazing. The environment of the cheer comp is just fantastic, everyone there is so happy and in good spirits. And since I had an amazing time I thought why not write a post about it! So that's what I'm going to do.

We (my mum, her boyfriend and me) all travelled down on the Friday after my English exam. We did this for a number of reasons. The first on being it was going to be less stressful then going up on the Saturday morning and the second reason on Saturday we had to be at the Manchester cycling arena for 7:45 am. So getting into Manchester went relatively okay as we have been doing it for the past 4 years so it was easy (ish) this year we decided to stay in a different hotel closer to the arena. Finding the hotel was the hardest part. We pulled into a hotel called the stay inn to ask for directions and they said that we had driven past the hotel we needed to get there. So we made it to the hotel and the parking to it was underground which was interesting and difficult to get to as the parking spaces where tightly packed in and hard to get to. After we got booked in and put all of our bags in the room it was time to go on a walk round the area. The hotel was near the shopping centre so we just walked around the streets and had a look at the shops and what we could get to eat.

On Saturday morning it was a bit of a shock to the system getting up at 5am. Needless to say I am not a morning person so I wasn’t the happiest person ever but after I had a shower and got dressed I was more awake and happy! We went and had breakfast with the rest of the cheerleaders then back up to the room to pack everything for the day. For me this is the most worrying part as I needed to take everything I needed for both days. So this involved:
Food
Competing shoes
Red socks
Uniform
Black leggings
Black top
Hair brush
Bow
Hair bobbles
Hair spray
Money
Drinks
I am a very forgetful person so I spent a good 20 minutes going over everything to make sure that I had it all. Then it was time to make our way to the velodrome. This was again easy because it is always in the same place. When we got there the rest of the team was stood outside waiting for everyone. Once the whole team was there we all stood together to have photos taken then we had to go in pairs so we didn’t lose any of the teenies. Then we had to go and get put wrist bands on to allow is in and out of the veledrome and they show that we have entered the competition. We fond where we were going to sit and in a matter of minutes it was time for the tiny teenies to go and compete. So we all split up the tiny teenies went through the photo process and I took the rest of the team down to the floor to go and watch and cheer the other teams on.

The competition is split into different age ranges. We had the tiny teenies which are ages 6 and below. Teenies which are 10 and below. Junior B which is 16 and below and the senior which is 17+. But it all depends on the ages of the eldest person. So me being 17 it’s my ages it goes on. So in some of the dances 10 year olds were up against 20 year olds (sorry girlies)

But watching the tiny teenies perform is just so emotional and I will admit it and say that I did cry. They have come so far, they entered last year and they cried because they didn’t want to go on and this year they did the dance and I could not see anything that went wrong with it. Needless to say no one on our team had dry eyes. The presenters also said we have the youngest team members. Then it was the teenies time to perform and again they did amazing. After this we had a little bit for a break before we had to go on and perform so went round and handed out good luck messages to other teams. Then it was our turn to go through the whole photo and warm up process. And that all went well. Lining up behind the scenes is when the nerves actually kick in really badly. You can see the teams you are up against performing on the floor and also warming up. Then running on to the floor and getting into position after saying the chant it seems to get easier. The worst part is the few seconds waiting for the music to play. You know you cannot move if you are not in the right place. Where ever you stand you have to stay there now until you move in the dance. You have people watching you from all sides. On your right are the other teams in the stands. Behind you have the judges that will check the floor after you have finished for anything that has fallen. On the left is the spectators in the stands and the teams lining up. And in front of you are the ten judges, who you have to perform for. Nine of them are lovely and sing along to the music you are using and smile to you. One of them is horrible, she sits there and glares at you. At the front there are also teams watching you. Also next to the judges table there will be your coach.
We all said before going on “we have to do this for Kelly and baby” (our coach is pregnant) and I feel that we did our best performance. We pulled faces. We smiled. We did it all in time. We performed our hearts out. We did it for Kelly.

Then stunting came round. This was a section we had never done before. We had entered dances which involved stunts but we had never entered anything that was 100% stunting and nothing else and this was scary! Warm ups again went fine and this time the nerves where 200 times worse for me anyway. We stood watching other teams perform and warm up and this wasn’t a good idea. There were girls getting thrown in the air and doing backflips and spinning. To say we were scared was an understatement! It was then our turn. Everything was going fine until my foot gave in. for the past few weeks I have had a pain in my foot so it’s been strapped up. And it wasn’t hurting but I strapped it up just to be safe. Anyway when we went to do pop cradle my foot was killing me it was the kind of pain where you feel like you are going to be sick or cry it is that bad. And at this stage we had already popped and the cradle didn’t go that well be we caught her and carried on. And it al all went well from there. And luckily that was the last performance we did that day. But it was all my fault it got messed up.

So ice went on my foot and we waited for awards. Awards is the part where you all get your trophies and it’s amazing all teams are sat on the floor and the atmosphere is just fantastic. We ended up getting:
3rd
11th
7th
4th
4th
3rd
3rd
1st
I can’t remember what dances we got them in but we did so well and I am so proud of the girls and awards is always emotional and I did have tears in my eyes. We were ready for Sunday now. After awards we all had photos then back to the hotel.

Sunday morning we had a lay in as we didn’t have to be at the veledrome until 10:15 so plenty of time and this time I didn’t have to pack my bag. So getting to the veledrome was the same as the Saturday. On the Sunday I and Leigh-Anne only had one dance to perform so we spent the whole time more a less stood at the front cheering every team on.

After waiting for the teenies to perform we had one of our coaches come and tell us that we had to run back to the stands and get changed and the rush down to photos. We then ran to the said of the stage just in time to see the girls perform their dance and they did amazing. To say that we all stood on the side behind a barrier jumping up and down screaming was exactly what we did. We had the presenters laughing at us. The girls hit it perfectly! Then we had to go and warm up. Again we had never entered this section again so it was very nerve racking. Standing in line we said the same thing again “do it for Kelly and the baby” and we went on and performed out hearts out again. And it felt amazing to know that we had done our best and nothing went wrong it was now all up to the judges. Then we went back to our seats for the teenies to change and for the junior B girls to change into their outfits. Then it was back down to the floor to watch the team’s perform. We had the teenies doing songs from hairspray and the junior b girls doing songs from grease.
While we were waiting for the hairspray girls to go on. One of or coaches came round and got the grease girls to start doing the whole process so it was me and Leigh-Anne. This was when we decided to stay at the front all day and cheer other teams on as we had nothing else to do that day.

When the hairspray girls came on stage me and Leigh-Anne where ready to dance and sing along. We did exactly that! The girls hit that performance again. Once they ran off the floor Sarah took them back to the seats for food and drinks. So me and Leigh-Anne stayed and watched everything. Then it was the grease girls turn to perform. And me and Leigh-Anne where ready again. This time we jumped and screamed, this was the dance that had problems and we had our worries about it. And everything that could go wrong didn’t. Everything hit! Once they came off we all went back to the seats to have lunch. Then everyone went to go and see parents whereas I and Leigh-Anne went back to the floor to continue cheering everyone on.

The presenters had 12 special medals that they were giving out to a few people. What we didn’t expect was that we would get one on. There is a story to this so here we go:

Me and Leigh-Anne where cheering everyone on and there was a gap so the presenters where talking and called up one of the stewards and gave her a medal because she had spent the whole weekend with poms in her hand and dancing. Me and Leigh-Anne did the “we are proud of you” chant for her and then the dances continued and we danced in the small gaps. During the next big gap we did not expect this to happen one of the presenters said “We are going to be giving out two more of these special medals to these two girls” pointed me and Leigh-Anne and told us to follow the other presenter on to the floor “because they have been stood on down here dancing cheering everyone on and this is what cheerleading is about so well done girls” and we got the medals and we could not be any happier.

Then it was awards time. This was so much better then we thought it would be. The dance that me and Leigh-Anne where in was out of three. When third place got called and it wasn’t out name all of us just screamed “WE DIDN’T COME LAST” we nearly missed our name getting called for second place. We screamed so loud and all of us ran to the front to collect the trophy (after us having jumped around and hugged each other.) on Sunday we had four dances and we came away with:
2nd
1st
2nd
3rd
And I am so proud of everyone and I am so happy that we did so well. Then we went back for photos again.

I really admire all the work that goes into the cheerleading competitions. This year the charity we raised money for while being there was teenage cancer trust. And at the beginning of both award ceremony’s the presenters talked about Stephen's story and everyone did a standing applause for him and it was so touching. 1500+ people all took part in this.

The whole weekend was just amazing and it’s something that I wish would never end because I love it so much!

Holiday... in sunny mablethorpe

Hello everyone!

The past week I have been on holiday to Mablethopre which is a beautiful seaside town. We went in our caravan and stayed in an amazing camp-site for 6 days. Now if you have ever been inside a touring caravan you know that they are very small inside, yeah in this holiday their was me, my mum, her boyfriend and our pet dog. Needless to say it was very cramped and towards the end of the week it started to effect us as we got snappy at each other. But apart from that if was an amazing break and a well needed rest for all of us!

The trip down there was good, I sat in the back of the car with the dog. Now the trip lasted about three hours. This included us putting the caravan on the back of the car. After getting the caravan on the back of the car we set off. Half an hour into the trip and I'm sat with my shoes now off, legs criss crossed headphones in and I'm in my own little world, when I feel something heavy sit down on my legs. look down to my lap and Deefa (the dog) is sat on my knees. Now I knew this was going to happen i didn't expect it to be that soon I was expecting like an hour in to the trip now half of that! By the time we had arrived at the camp site I had dead legs and my phone had nearly died, and we still had to set up the awning (the extension bit to the caravan) and this causes arguments (mainly directed at me) but we managed to get it up with only a few argument (and me nearly stropping off. What can I say it all to go much and I needed to get away from it all)

Finally everything was set up all that was missing was food. So mum and her boyfriend (Austen) went to do the food shop while I sat in the caravan looking after the dog. After about ten minutes of them being gone I start to hear this knocking on the side of the caravan, so i looked out the window and no one was there so I thought nothing of it and just sat back down and continued reading. Then the noise started again this time I went outside into the awning to have a look at it. It turned out that on of the poles holding the awning up wasn't long enough to connect the padded bit to the caravan so every time it got windy it would bang against the caravan. I tried to make the pole longer and could not reach, the awning is the same height as the roof of the caravan and I am five foot five inches so there was no way that i was going to reach the pole. So to inform my mum and Austen about what was happening I sent a very amazing text message that said

" The middle thingy that goes across the top of the conservatory bit isn't long enough as the thingy keeps lifting off the caravan and I can't reach to tighten it."

Now I have no idea how to describe this at the time so i just said the 'thingy' and expected my mum to understand what I meant by 'thingy'. She didnt reply to my text. So as soon as  saw the car pulling up to the caravan I went and told them and the how situation was dealt with. Then my mum read her text message and laughed a the way I had describe what happened.

The next day we had a nice walk round the town. We had been there the year before but we wanted to see if anything new had opened in the past year and if any of the shops had new things in the. After coming back from town Austen and the dog went for a walk on the beach while me and mum fell sleep in the caravan for a while. we didn't really do that much and because it was a Sunday not many places are open so we just relaxed in the caravan and watched the Torchwood box set that Austen has. i never thought that i would like Torchwood but I do its amazing and I totally recommend watching it.

On the Monday we all got in the car and took a trip down to a secluded part of the beach to walk Deefa and have a picnic. The weather was nice as in the sun was out but it was so windy and cold. And I am that person that feels the cold very badly so needless to say I had my cheerleading jumper on, under that I had a grey jacket and a long sleeved top. I also had on a body warmer. I was cold! But that didn't stop me from having fun on the beach with everyone. Once we had finished on the beach we headed back to the car to have our picnic as we decided it was too cold to have it outside. But after all of that we all headed back into town to buy food for the night and the rest of the week. Me and Deefa stayed in the car whilst mum and Austen went into the shop. Deefa looked up at every person that walked past the car except for when mum and Austen came back she was asleep. That night we all watched tourchwood until 10pm and then settled down for the night.

Tuesday morning was a bit different however. Every other night Deefa had us up several times in the night so she could go out, but when we woke up she was snuggled up in my blanket fast asleep. Some how in the middle of the night the balnket had fallen off my bed and Deefa had curled up in it and stayed silent as she knew if she woke one of us up the blanket would have been taken off her as she should have it. So mum concluded that Deefa woke us up so many times because she was cold, needless to say we went into town and brought her a dog bed for inside the caravan so she was nice and warm for the rest of the holiday. The rest of Tuesday was us spent doing our own things so Austen and Deefa went to the beach while me and mum stayed in the caravan. Mum went to sleep and i finaly watched Frozen. My mum had brought me the DVD and hid it from me until holiday (Thank you mum X), can i just say how amazing Frozen is! ( I then made mum watch it later on in the week. And Asuten just listened to it (sorry Austen for boring you with it.. And for me singing 'do you want to build a snowman' over and over again... Badly may I add)

Wednesday for me was the best day as we went to the Seal Statuary, the place is amazing and its a short walk from the camp site. The Seal Statuary is a place where injured Seal are taken to heal and then are returned. Unfortunately some of the seals never full recover so are not returned into the wild so they stay at the Seal Statuary. Now at the Seal Statuary there is not just seals there are all different animals including:
Sea birds, peacocks, chickens, goats, monkeys, lynx, parrots, fox, badgers, rabbits, turtles, lizards and of course the seals (of all different breeds). They also have a 'walk through history' where they show you what Mablethorpe was like through out the ages like the ice age. We had been last year as well so this year I made us walk round the whole place the wrong way so we got some strange looks as went walked through a door people used as an exit we used as the entrance.

Thursday was a sad day as we had to start packing away the caravan as we had to be off the camp the following morning. The awning came down in the afternoon after we had let it dry. Then me and mum went into town to do some shopping and get people gifts from out holiday. Only this time there was a market on so we went and had a look there, as I was looking through one of the boxes full of DVD's I hear some shouting from behind me, I turn round to see an old man chasing someone down the street, the old man was shouting and waving his walking stick in the air. So that was unexpected to say the least. But we got our shopping done and headed back to the caravan and then went back to the beach where we attempted to fly a kite. The key word being attempted it didn't stay in the air very long at all. So we gave in with that one very quickly.

Friday morning was filled with stress and shouting. Me and mum had the job of packing the caravan up and putting everything back under the seats so nothing moved whilst travelling home. So me and mum had a few heated comments towards each other but we knew that we didn't mean anything said because we happened to be stressed. But by 10:30 everything was packed away the caravan was attached to the car and off we headed back home.

I had an amazing week away from home and i really love Mablethopre its such a nice place to just get away and relax.

Thank you all of reading, i hope you enjoyed it.

Exams

Hey guys,

So it is April now *well done Diza point out the obvious* but for everyone in England doing GCSE and alevels this means the most dreaded time of all …… EXAMS kill me now.
So I though that since this will be my third year of sitting exams I would share my experience that I have had of exams with you.
1) the exam hall
So at the school I go to we sit our exams in either the sports hall or the gym. And those two rooms have two temperature and two temperature only- freezing cold and expecting to see penguins waddle past any moment or hell waiting for flames to pop up. I am honestly not exaguarting at all.

2) walking to your seat
Before your exams start you will be given a slip of paper that has which exams you are sitting and what seat you will be sat at. For example D24 now in the sports hall there are 26 seats in a row. So being seat D24 you have to walk all the way down colum D and down to seat 24 which is right at the back.

3) walking in a bit late
On that slip of paper there will also be what time your exam starts for example 9.00 am. The invedulators will expect everyone to be in the hall at 9.00am even though the exam won't start until 9.10. Heaven forbid if you walk in at 9.02am. Everyone looks at you as you walk to you seat and if that seat is D24 every set of eyes will watch you walk to your seat.

4) wobbly desk and chair
There will always be a few wobbly desks and chairs because if how old they are and how many times they have  even used and then put back in storage. Me being the unlucky person in that every exam I have sat I have had a wobbly desk and a wobbly chair. And they both wobble every time you move or write something. Which is very very annoying!

Now exams are not that bad … sometimes
Thoses where just a few things that have happened to me in my exams.
Please comment any exam experiences that you have had

Dreams

I'm one of those people that can remember dreams very well. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing so I though (and my cousin suggested it) that i would share some of these with you. So here a three dreams that I have had:

So this dream isn't exactly weird but it's scary. I had this dream about a month before chistmas and it still scares me now! In my house we have a conservatory (if you don't know what this is then google it as I don't know how to discribe it). So in my dream it was pitch black night time and I was in the conservatory, doing something can't really remember what I was doing. When I looked out of the conservatory glass doors and saw some yellow eye staring at me from the bottom of the garden. The this black pather cat comes charging towards the house. But no this wasn't a normal sized pather oh no! I was the size of a blaming bus! By now my mum had joined me in the conservatory and I remember her saying "it will stop don't worry" and "it has to stop". Needless to say it didn't stop I woke up screaming when it collided with the glass doors.

The next dream might be weird to you but for me it was amazing and I was gutted when I woke up. So I had dreamt that I was a flyer for cheer extreme senior elite (if you've never heard of them go onto YouTube and search them! They are amazing!!) and we where at a competiton and unfortunately I had to woke up much to my hatred :(

My final dream that I'm going to tell you is that I was part of vampire diaries. Yes I am a fan of vampire diaries. So in my dream I was Elena's best friend and went through everything with her and wow it was amazing.

So that was three of my dreams that I have remembered and I still have a few more that I can remember.
I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have had any weird dreams please let me know in the comments below
