Holiday... in sunny mablethorpe

Hello everyone!

The past week I have been on holiday to Mablethopre which is a beautiful seaside town. We went in our caravan and stayed in an amazing camp-site for 6 days. Now if you have ever been inside a touring caravan you know that they are very small inside, yeah in this holiday their was me, my mum, her boyfriend and our pet dog. Needless to say it was very cramped and towards the end of the week it started to effect us as we got snappy at each other. But apart from that if was an amazing break and a well needed rest for all of us!

The trip down there was good, I sat in the back of the car with the dog. Now the trip lasted about three hours. This included us putting the caravan on the back of the car. After getting the caravan on the back of the car we set off. Half an hour into the trip and I'm sat with my shoes now off, legs criss crossed headphones in and I'm in my own little world, when I feel something heavy sit down on my legs. look down to my lap and Deefa (the dog) is sat on my knees. Now I knew this was going to happen i didn't expect it to be that soon I was expecting like an hour in to the trip now half of that! By the time we had arrived at the camp site I had dead legs and my phone had nearly died, and we still had to set up the awning (the extension bit to the caravan) and this causes arguments (mainly directed at me) but we managed to get it up with only a few argument (and me nearly stropping off. What can I say it all to go much and I needed to get away from it all)

Finally everything was set up all that was missing was food. So mum and her boyfriend (Austen) went to do the food shop while I sat in the caravan looking after the dog. After about ten minutes of them being gone I start to hear this knocking on the side of the caravan, so i looked out the window and no one was there so I thought nothing of it and just sat back down and continued reading. Then the noise started again this time I went outside into the awning to have a look at it. It turned out that on of the poles holding the awning up wasn't long enough to connect the padded bit to the caravan so every time it got windy it would bang against the caravan. I tried to make the pole longer and could not reach, the awning is the same height as the roof of the caravan and I am five foot five inches so there was no way that i was going to reach the pole. So to inform my mum and Austen about what was happening I sent a very amazing text message that said

" The middle thingy that goes across the top of the conservatory bit isn't long enough as the thingy keeps lifting off the caravan and I can't reach to tighten it."

Now I have no idea how to describe this at the time so i just said the 'thingy' and expected my mum to understand what I meant by 'thingy'. She didnt reply to my text. So as soon as  saw the car pulling up to the caravan I went and told them and the how situation was dealt with. Then my mum read her text message and laughed a the way I had describe what happened.

The next day we had a nice walk round the town. We had been there the year before but we wanted to see if anything new had opened in the past year and if any of the shops had new things in the. After coming back from town Austen and the dog went for a walk on the beach while me and mum fell sleep in the caravan for a while. we didn't really do that much and because it was a Sunday not many places are open so we just relaxed in the caravan and watched the Torchwood box set that Austen has. i never thought that i would like Torchwood but I do its amazing and I totally recommend watching it.

On the Monday we all got in the car and took a trip down to a secluded part of the beach to walk Deefa and have a picnic. The weather was nice as in the sun was out but it was so windy and cold. And I am that person that feels the cold very badly so needless to say I had my cheerleading jumper on, under that I had a grey jacket and a long sleeved top. I also had on a body warmer. I was cold! But that didn't stop me from having fun on the beach with everyone. Once we had finished on the beach we headed back to the car to have our picnic as we decided it was too cold to have it outside. But after all of that we all headed back into town to buy food for the night and the rest of the week. Me and Deefa stayed in the car whilst mum and Austen went into the shop. Deefa looked up at every person that walked past the car except for when mum and Austen came back she was asleep. That night we all watched tourchwood until 10pm and then settled down for the night.

Tuesday morning was a bit different however. Every other night Deefa had us up several times in the night so she could go out, but when we woke up she was snuggled up in my blanket fast asleep. Some how in the middle of the night the balnket had fallen off my bed and Deefa had curled up in it and stayed silent as she knew if she woke one of us up the blanket would have been taken off her as she should have it. So mum concluded that Deefa woke us up so many times because she was cold, needless to say we went into town and brought her a dog bed for inside the caravan so she was nice and warm for the rest of the holiday. The rest of Tuesday was us spent doing our own things so Austen and Deefa went to the beach while me and mum stayed in the caravan. Mum went to sleep and i finaly watched Frozen. My mum had brought me the DVD and hid it from me until holiday (Thank you mum X), can i just say how amazing Frozen is! ( I then made mum watch it later on in the week. And Asuten just listened to it (sorry Austen for boring you with it.. And for me singing 'do you want to build a snowman' over and over again... Badly may I add)

Wednesday for me was the best day as we went to the Seal Statuary, the place is amazing and its a short walk from the camp site. The Seal Statuary is a place where injured Seal are taken to heal and then are returned. Unfortunately some of the seals never full recover so are not returned into the wild so they stay at the Seal Statuary. Now at the Seal Statuary there is not just seals there are all different animals including:
Sea birds, peacocks, chickens, goats, monkeys, lynx, parrots, fox, badgers, rabbits, turtles, lizards and of course the seals (of all different breeds). They also have a 'walk through history' where they show you what Mablethorpe was like through out the ages like the ice age. We had been last year as well so this year I made us walk round the whole place the wrong way so we got some strange looks as went walked through a door people used as an exit we used as the entrance.

Thursday was a sad day as we had to start packing away the caravan as we had to be off the camp the following morning. The awning came down in the afternoon after we had let it dry. Then me and mum went into town to do some shopping and get people gifts from out holiday. Only this time there was a market on so we went and had a look there, as I was looking through one of the boxes full of DVD's I hear some shouting from behind me, I turn round to see an old man chasing someone down the street, the old man was shouting and waving his walking stick in the air. So that was unexpected to say the least. But we got our shopping done and headed back to the caravan and then went back to the beach where we attempted to fly a kite. The key word being attempted it didn't stay in the air very long at all. So we gave in with that one very quickly.

Friday morning was filled with stress and shouting. Me and mum had the job of packing the caravan up and putting everything back under the seats so nothing moved whilst travelling home. So me and mum had a few heated comments towards each other but we knew that we didn't mean anything said because we happened to be stressed. But by 10:30 everything was packed away the caravan was attached to the car and off we headed back home.

I had an amazing week away from home and i really love Mablethopre its such a nice place to just get away and relax.

Thank you all of reading, i hope you enjoyed it.

Exams

Hey guys,

So it is April now *well done Diza point out the obvious* but for everyone in England doing GCSE and alevels this means the most dreaded time of all …… EXAMS kill me now.
So I though that since this will be my third year of sitting exams I would share my experience that I have had of exams with you.
1) the exam hall
So at the school I go to we sit our exams in either the sports hall or the gym. And those two rooms have two temperature and two temperature only- freezing cold and expecting to see penguins waddle past any moment or hell waiting for flames to pop up. I am honestly not exaguarting at all.

2) walking to your seat
Before your exams start you will be given a slip of paper that has which exams you are sitting and what seat you will be sat at. For example D24 now in the sports hall there are 26 seats in a row. So being seat D24 you have to walk all the way down colum D and down to seat 24 which is right at the back.

3) walking in a bit late
On that slip of paper there will also be what time your exam starts for example 9.00 am. The invedulators will expect everyone to be in the hall at 9.00am even though the exam won't start until 9.10. Heaven forbid if you walk in at 9.02am. Everyone looks at you as you walk to you seat and if that seat is D24 every set of eyes will watch you walk to your seat.

4) wobbly desk and chair
There will always be a few wobbly desks and chairs because if how old they are and how many times they have  even used and then put back in storage. Me being the unlucky person in that every exam I have sat I have had a wobbly desk and a wobbly chair. And they both wobble every time you move or write something. Which is very very annoying!

Now exams are not that bad … sometimes
Thoses where just a few things that have happened to me in my exams.
Please comment any exam experiences that you have had

Love Diza x
