So back in 2011 my mum, grandma, granddad and myself went to Canada for a family reunion. So I thought I would show you pictures from our trip to Canada.
So the whole trip started off at an airport (stating the obvious here haha) and lucky us our flight was delayed by an hour. so when we finally got on the plane we settled ready for a nine hour flight and me being me cant sleep on planes so I stayed awake and watched movies. when we landed in Toronto to catch a connecting flight to Saskatoon. and again our flight was delayed for what had to be four hours. that day we ended doing 27 and a half hours of traveling.
We finally made it to Saskatoon, and Wanda and Gerald were waiting for us to drive us to our hotel for the night. So as you can imagine we all passed out as soon as our head hit the pillow. The next morning we went to Denny's for breakfast and it was pretty exciting for both me and my mum as we had never been to Canada before where as my grandparents had been.
For breakfast me and my mum had these doughnut balls and chocolate sauce, and omg they are amazing!
And then it was time to head out of our hotel and on the way to Saskatchewan, Loon Lake. Wanda leading the way. At this point we had collected the rental car. Grandma was in the car with Wanda. Mum granddad Gerald and me were in our rental car. So we had another bit of travelling a head of us. we of course stopped for lunch on the way, we went to Tim Hortons and I asked for a bacon roll but they didn't understand what that was so Wanda ordered me a BLT but without the L and T.Then to stretch our legs we walked around the Mall they are so much better then the shopping centres in England so much bigger and better shops.
So we then made it to Loon Lake and I fell in love with it there and then. It is just a beautiful place so peaceful and everything is in walking distance.
The most amazing place I visited while we where in Loon Lake has to be Loon Lake itself as it is just so peaceful and gentle. Gerald took us on his boat around the lake and it just took my breath away.
So we went to the family reunion and it was held in the village recreational centre which like everything was in walking distance. And it was nice to see people I have never met before and i think this helped me out of my shyness a lot as I was surrounded by people I didn't know. but the whole experience was just amazing. And it was a birthday during the reunion so we had some ice cream cake and still 2 years later I still cant believe there is ice cream cake and why don't we have this in England?!
We spent a day with a family member and she showed us all around Loon Lake in all of its beauty and the final night we spent in Loon Lake we all went to Wandas house for dinner and we witnessed our first storm in Canada and saw a hummingbird.
And before we knew it that was out ten days in Loon Lake over and we headed back to the airport and flew to Toronto. And the atmosphere in Toronto was completely different to Loon Lake. it was busy loud and people didn't walk anywhere!
Across from the hotel we stayed in was a park with a pond in it. So at some point each day we would go and sit there.
Before we went home we went on a trip to see Niagra falls, it was amazing and so loud. We went on the boat trip around the falls and the blue poncho thing that they gave us was no help at all the hood on mine kept falling down so I just got soaked.
I honestly have no idea what this is but I thought it was really pretty.

So that was trip to canada and the places that I visited.
